Steel microfibres obtained by metal wire offcuts, used for cement conglomerates generally. READYMESH MR-060 is comprised of very thin brass-plated steel wires with a diameter of 0.22 mm and a length of 6 mm, mainly used to control shrinkage and to reinforce plasters and mortars.

The addition of READYMESH MR-060 improves the mechanical properties of the conglomerate in terms of ductility, mechanical performance, energy absorption, tenacity, as well as resistance to fatigue and wear-and-tear. The product also helps reduce shrinkage of the conglomerate both in the plastic phase and during maturation, especially in environments with adverse exposure (wind, high temperatures, low relative humidity).
Variable according to the type of work to be carried out and/or performance to be achieved.
READYMESH MR-060 microfibres are used for cement conglomerates generally. Considering the dimensional characteristics (aspect ratio: length/diameter = 27) the main usages is for medium or fine particle size mortars, plasters and sprayed concrete (shotcrete), a prefabricated low-thickness cement with complex profiles.
The READYMESH MR-060 fibres must be gradually added to the conglomerate during mixing, absolutely ensuring that the entire required amount of fibres is not poured in at once. Upon having added all of the READYMESH MR-060 fibres, continue mixing for at least another 3 minutes to ensure uniform distribution throughout the mixture.
