The complete cross-linking in depth of a coating depends strictly on the environment humidity and temperature conditions. This cross-linking can be prolonged
up to 2/6 months in unfavourable situations such as temperatures below + 8°C, excessive atmospheric humidity, night condensation, fog, etc. Difficult situations are also to be considered applications that have taken place in particular construction sites, such as for example houses without gutters, north-facing walls, etc.
A/c Paint for exterior walls of mineral substrate. BA. EU VOC limit value (Directive 2004/42/EU) for this product (Cat. A/c): 75 g/l (2007); 40 g/l (2010). This product contains a maximum of 25 g/l of VOC.

Consumption

Indicative consumption depending on the different particle sizes of PROTECH AC-I available:
1 mm GRAIN: 1.6 -2.0 kg/m²;
1.2/1.5 mm GRAIN: 2.1 -2.5 kg/m²;
2 mm GRAIN: 2.5 -3.2 kg/m²;
2.2 mm GRAIN: 3.0 -3.6 kg/m².
The indicated yields refer to smooth supports and are for guidance only. Actual consumption must be identified with a suitable practical test.

Use fields

Medium-thick protective and decorative plastic coating, resistant to impacts, to stressful climatic cycles, impermeable to atmospheric water, having, in any case, water vapour permeability. Elasticity and hardness are coupled in maximum degree with a wide choice of colours not alterable over time; characteristics that, combined with the ease and practicality of application, make the product extremely multi-functional, adaptable to any project requirement. Recommended as a finish in "cladding" insulation systems, as it helps to increase the thermo-acoustic coefficient.

Preparation of supports

The surfaces of application will be adequately prepared: dry, free from fouling, powder, crumbling parts, incoherent, pre-existing synthetic paints etc.
NEW SUPPORTS: Apply a coat of PROTECH FIX AC water-based acrylic fixative.
OLD SUPPORTS: Remove old paint by vigorous brushing; fill in any holes or imperfections in the wall with a special FIBROSTUCK filler; proceed with the application of the water-based acrylic primer PROTECH FIX AC.

Use method

Mix the product vigorously, apply a coating layer with a stainless steel trowel
of a thickness equal to that of the granules it contains. Pass again with a cutting spatula to remove any excess material. After light drying, pass over with a plastic trowel with rotary movements to compact, even out and achieve the full plaster effect. On large surfaces, it is recommended to apply the product of the same lot and proceed always wet on wet to avoid signs of resumption.

Warnings, precautions and Ecology

Never operate at temperatures below + 5°C. Rainy weather, excessive
atmospheric humidity and temperatures below + 8°C, can considerably compromise drying with the possibility of rainwater washout even after several days. In these situations, it is advisable to protect the facades from unpredictable showers, in order not to jeopardize the success of the work. For storage store in tightly closed containers and protect from frost.
