Cold applied water-repellent adhesive tape, composed of a layer with visco-elastic butyl rubber consistency, coated with a polypropylene non-woven fabric, for elastic waterproofing of non-structural joints in balconies, terraces, etc. Size of the strap: 80 mm x 0.9 mm.

Characteristics

The PROBAND non-woven fabric coating is composed of 100% pure polypropylene fibres, with a weight of 30 g/m² and a tensile strength of 45 N.

Consumption

1.1 m/m: 1 metre of PROBAND for each linear metre, being careful to overlap the rolls of approximately 5-10 cm in correspondence with the edges of the band.

Use fields

Elastic waterproofing of non-structural joints in balconies and terraces, especially in the protective "kerb" of the connection joints between the screed and the vertical wall.

Preparation of supports

The application supports must be clean, dry, undamaged, cohesive, free from fouling and dust.

Use method

The strap is provided with a special waxed paper film on the adhesive side. To apply, proceed with the detachment of the protective film and place the strap in its final place, with the adhesive side facing the support. Apply slight pressure with your hand to ensure proper adhesion to the support. Then continue to detach the protective film while unwinding of the roll and setting on site , taking care to avoid the formation of bubbles.

Warnings, precautions and Ecology

Butyl mastics are extremely sensitive to the action of solvents.

It is recommended to coat PROBAND, once placed, with elasto-plastic cement mortars or similar products (OSMOCEM FLEX, OSMOCEM D, SYNTECH POLYUREA SPRAY 400).
