Rheoplastic, thixotropic, structural, composite , reinforced fibre cement mortar, based on special cements, alkaline-resistant fibres, agents anti-carbonation, reactive fillers. selected siliceous aggregates. After hardening, it provides high-performance anti-carbonation protection, mechanical strength, watertightness, chemical-physical stability. Specific for filling cavities and embrasures produced by removing the blade caisson spacer, in concrete components in civil engineering, industrial and hydraulic works.

Characteristics

OSMOCEM AC is formulated with special agents capable of inhibiting or drastically reducing the motility carbon dioxide solutions in concrete, consequently ensuring very high anti-carbonation protection.

Consumption

Approximately 19 kg/m² of OSMOCEM AC for every centimetre of thickness to be implemented (approximately 1900 kg per cubic metre).

Use fields

Filling cavities and embrasures of blade caisson spacers, in concrete components in civil engineering, industrial and hydraulic works provided they are sufficiently porous and absorbent and free from any waterproofing and / or water-repellent surface treatment, whether chemical (siloxanes, epoxies, polyurethanes, etc.) or natural (wax-up).

Preparation of supports

Application surfaces should be clean, free of soiling, crumbling and non-adhering parts, dust, etc., water repellent treatments in general, etc. conveniently saturated with water until they reach the condition "saturated with dry surface".

Use method

Pour about 2/3 of the mixing water into the mixer, add OSMOCEM AC and the remaining water; continue to mix until a homogeneous lump-free mixture is obtained. The mixing water should be about 14%-16% by weight.

Warnings, precautions and Ecology

Do not apply with direct exposure to sunlight and/or at temperatures below +5°C. Cure the protection and moist hardening of exposed surfaces.
Do not apply on little or non-porous substrates or previously coated with water-repellent treatments in general, if not after appropriate roughening by bush hammers, sanders and equipment suitable for preparatory treatments of substrates, or after appropriate treatment with suitable polymeric primers.
