Characteristics

OSMOCEM 447 is a rheoplastic, anti-leaching, quick-setting cement mortar for coatings in critical conditions, repairs, waterproofing even in the presence of moderate water runoff, coatings and fast renovation of hydraulic works. It is based on fast hardening hydraulic binders and superpozzolanic reactive fillers. It hardens without problems even if it is immersed in water. Due to the large amount of superpozzolanic reactive agents within the mortar itself, the water does not affect the cement granule at all and thus it does not leach the conglomerate. Thanks to its plastic consistency, OSMOCEM 447 is suitable for both horizontal and vertical coating applications.

Consumption

Approximately 19 kg/m² of OSMOCEM 447 for every centimetre of thickness to be implemented (approximately 1900 kg per cubic metre).

Use fields

Repairs, fast waterproofing even in the presence of moderate water runoff, quick coatings and renovation of hydraulic works, even in the presence of strong humidity and in very cold temperature conditions: raft foundations, walls, tanks, pipes, pondage, etc. To quickly close large gaps in pilings and diaphragms. Repairs and quick coatings of road circuits and airport runways. For the correction of the rapidity of hardening of reinforced fibre mortars of the REPAR family.

Preparation of supports

The application surfaces should be clean, free of incrustations, dust, non-adhering parts, etc.

Use method

Pour about 2/3 of the mixing water into the mixer, add OSMOCEM 447 and the remaining water; continue to mix until a homogeneous, lump-free mixture is obtained. The mixture water should be about 15%-16% by weight (4-4.5 litres per bag), adjust the amount of water based on the different application situations that the product is designed for. Apply on site and float with all due care in order to obtain the best compactness of planar recovery or of the coating.
