A hydro-expansive polyurethane sealant in a thixotropic paste, pre-packaged in an extrudable cartridge with standard dosing guns, to be utilised as a waterstop in the most complex or problematic situations in waterproofing below-ground areas. Its elastic and sealing properties remain unchanged over time. In a completely dry state, FLEXSEAL 300 shrinks to its original size and then expands again upon contact with water.

Consumption

From 0.15 to 0.30 cartridges of FLEXSEAL 300 for each linear metre to be sealed, depending on the geometry of the cavity.

Use fields

Formation of airtight seals at connections, holes, cavities, cracking, formwork blades etc.; execution of seals in the connection between pipes and masonry; Material to assist in laying both traditional and hydro-expansive waterstop profiles.

Preparation of supports

The application surfaces should be clean, free of incrustations, crumbling and non-adhering parts, dust etc.

Use method

Cut the tip of the cartridge with a cutter so as to allow the extrusion of a sealant kerb of at least 8 mm in diameter (to ensure that the sealing is both efficient and hydro-expansive). FLEXSEAL 300 must be placed laid in properly confined sections and covered with at least 6 cm of structural, shrink-resistant mortar GROUT 6 (castable) or REPAR TIX (thixotropic).

Warnings, precautions and Ecology

Do not use FLEXSEAL 300 as a simple silicone. Totally unconfined expansion would detach it from the support, thus making the sealing redundant.
